Martin Oduor Otieno

Martin Oduor-Otieno is a former banker, an Executive Coach, Leadership and Governance Advisor.  He led KCB Bank Group as CEO and board member during a period of rapid transformation and growth; he has worked in senior leadership roles at Barclays Bank in Kenya and South Africa and has recently spent three years as a Partner in the professional services firm, Deloitte, leading their Financial Services Industry practice. Martin has previously worked in the public service as Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Finance/Treasury, Government of Kenya.  He sits on a number of blue chip company boards as the non-executive director. Martin is involved in facilitating world-class board practice and leadership development, which are key areas for business sustainability. He is an alumni of The University of Nairobi, ESAMI/Maastritch Business School, Harvard Business School as well as a holder of a number of qualifications in Executive Coaching, Accounting, Banking, Leadership and Governance. He has received recognition by both the Government of Kenya (Chief of the Order of the Burning Spear – CBS ) and KCA University (Honorary Doctor of Business Leadership degree), among others, for his work in the Leadership arena.
