Event Theme “Eliminating Corruption through Effective Corporate Governance”.

Event Details:

The Centre for Corporate Governance Alumni Network is an affiliate of the Centre for Corporate Governance. The Network brings together the fraternity of Governance Champions who have attended intensive Corporate Governance and Leadership training and development programmes conducted by the Centre for Corporate Governance since its inception in 1999 principally in Kenya but throughout Africa as well.

We are therefore delighted to organise a breakfast meeting on 3^rd July, 2019 at the Sarova Panafric Hotel, Nairobi from 7.30am targeting corporate governance professionals and interest groups across the economic divide to discuss critical governance issues guided by the theme “Eliminating Corruption through Effective Corporate Governance”.

 

Why the theme?

Kenya is going through serious governance challenges with deep rooted and widespread plunder of public resources which, if left unchallenged, may lead to serious socio-economic problems.

The theme will interrogate Kenya’s changing economic, social, political and technological environments to navigate and understand from a blend of plenary and panel discussions, the opportunities and challenges brought about by the new Constitution and the overall situational crisis in our institutions of governance.

As one of our esteemed alumni, we invite you to be part of the discussion relating to this theme, delineating the challenges and opportunities for effective Corporate Governance in Kenya.
