Francis Asunah

Chairman

Francis Asunah, is an Accredited Mediator (Judiciary, Republic of Kenya). He too serves as a member of the key Kisumu High Court Presiding Judge chaired Court Users’ Committee. Francis is also, amongst others a sitting Director of the Institute of Chartered Mediators and Conciliators (ICMC), East Africa; and the Kenya Country Representative to the Institute as well as an associate of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).

Francis has widely practiced in the Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) fields of Negotiation, Construction Adjudication and Arbitration as well as Conciliation; in both public and private sectors. In matters governance, Francis is the just elected Chairman of the Centre for Corporate Governance (CCG) – Alumni Network; having markedly served as a Vice – Chairman of the Institution from its formative years. Francis is a Council Member of a sterling national University in Kenya, wherein he has on many years been retained as a member of the University’s Joint National Collective Bargaining Agreement (JNC – CBA) team.

Francis has also done his tour of duty with the University’s Board of Trustees by virtue of him having been trained and certified as a Trustee by the College of Insurance (Kenya) and the Humper Centre of Employee Benefits, Canada. Francis also members as a professional in the frontline Institute of Directors (Kenya).

Born 57 years ago, Francis Asunah is a holder of a Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree from the University of Nairobi and a Master of Engineering (Hydrology and Water Resources) degree from IHE Delft, The Netherlands. Noteworthy to mention that Mr. Asunah Is a well-rounded and sustained professional with a broad qualified, registered and licensed practice expertise of over 33 years in areas of Geology, Hydrology and Water Resources Engineering as well as Environmental management.
