His Grace Rtd. Arch Bishop Dr. Eliud Wabukala is the Chairman of the Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission (EACC), a position to which he was appointed to in January 2017.
He is the Retired Archbishop of the Anglican Church of Kenya. Dr. Wabukala has previously served as the Chairperson of Kenya National Anti-Corruption Campaign Steering Committee (NACCSC), having been appointed by the former president of the republic of Kenya His Excellency Mwai Kibaki. Prior to his appointment as the Chair of NACCSC he had previously served as an NACCSC Committee Member for five years. He was also the Chairman of GAFCON – Global Future Anglican Conference. Retired Archbishop Wabukala is also a former Chairman of the National Council of Churches of Kenya, a professional teacher with many years of teaching experience and has previously served as the Academic Dean of St. Paul’s University, where he also served as a lecturer.
Dr. Wabukala has been involved in many peace mitigations and reconciliation processes following the 2007 post-election violence in Kenya. He was an active stakeholder in the Interfaith Ufungamano meetings, from where he found his way into the Kofi Annan led peace talks.
